America is a big country so most definitely it has so many little nooks and crannies that may or may not even show up on a map. But hidden away in corners of the country are United States cities that have odd names which must be surely a challenge for the residents to explain where they live.
Here are some weird town names with the names of the states supplied in parentheses.
For example, if you are feeling particularly Carefree (AZ) today, follow the yellow brick road to Magic City (ID) where anything can happen. Or, if you wish to spend time in Happyland (CT) or Smileyberg (KS), you are sure to meet Lovely (KY) and Friendly (WV) people who ask you What Cheer (IA).
On the other hand are towns that you would think twice before adding to your travel itinerary simply because they are Boring (OR) or have Sod (WV) growing all over. If you would like out of the Ordinary (KY), be sure to hang your hat in Oddville (KY) or Peculiar (MO). Though Why (AZ) you would like to Hazard (KY) a jaunt to Dinkytown (MN) or Greasy (OK) is hard to tell.
If you are on a culinary cruise these United States cities have the right names but there’s no promising on whether they really deliver the goods. Bacon (IN) and Hot Coffee (MS) make the perfect breakfast but maybe you want to venture into Mexican Water (AZ) for a taste of Tortilla Flat (AZ). Lick Fork (VA) and Lickskillet (OH) both seem to serve food that’s finger lickin’ good.
Nature lovers will love to plan an excursion to Bugscuffle (TN) for a Birds Eye (IN) view of Fleatown (OH). Horseheads (NY) might want to head to the Hungry Horse (MT) to grab a bite. While you are at it, meet a few humans at Humansville (MO) or you may want to continue on your journey to find Bigfoot (TX).
